Professor Pieter Annaert, PharmD PhD
Pieter Annaert is Full Professor at the KU Leuven Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences. His research focuses on (pre)clinical pharmacokinetics, drug transporters, drug clearance prediction, drug-drug interactions, perinatal pharmacology, drug induced-cholestasis and overall translational aspects of drug discovery and development. The main methodologies include Quantitative pharmacology (~pharmacometrics, in particlular Physiology-based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) and population PK modelling), development and application of preclinical liver models and LC-MSMS-based bioabalysis.
